DEG company band enters “Rock gegen Hunger” charity contest

On 9 October 2019 the first "Rock gegen Hunger" (Rock against hunger) charity contest will take place in Cologne. In front of a mixed audience and a prominent jury various corporate bands compete for the city's rock crown and for a good cause, zero hunger. Five bands from the Rhineland, including DEG's company band DEGrooves, participate in the contest, which takes place in Cologne, Live Music Hall, at 7 pm.

The proceeds from the evening will go to a Welthungerhilfe project in Uganda, which was selected by the participating bands. In so-called “green colleges”, young people are being trained to become “ecopreneurs” and learn how to produce energy-saving stoves or solar modules, among other things.
